Army Name

Hello, my name is Dr. Mark Fielding.   I want to address the topic of an Army Name with you in this Article.  I served the U. S. Army for 7 1/2 years and I always carried my name with me everywhere I went.

I joined the Army to go to Vietnam and defend my Country.  When I joined the Army it carried the essence of the 'Brown Boot Army'.  This was a reference to U. S. Soldiers wearing brown boots in the WWW'S.

In the Army as well as other branches of Military Service a Soldier's name is sown onto a patch that is sown onto the Soldier's uniform.  In my case, I always carried the name FIELDING on my shirts.  Oh yes, a U. S. Army patch was on the other side of my shirt.  This was very helpful in times of stress or extreme pressure as one could always remove their shirt and know that they were - U. S. Army FIELDING.

The operational procedures of the Brown Boot Army in reference to the Vietnam War, was to prepare young U. S. Soldiers using various forms of physical and mental cruelty, including mind control.  The first 48 hours of training made even the toughest of young men cry in their bunks at night.
