A Believer Who Doesn't Believe
Are you thinking what I am thinking? "What is A Believer who Doesn't Believe?" As strange as that sounds, there happens to be vast numbers of people in the United States, and around the world for that matter who boast that they are believers in JESUS but there is little, if any, evidence of this fact in their life. More than that, what they claim to believe is often not the gospel of CHRIST.
When considering the United States as an example: When asked; "Are you a Christian?" Many people answer; "Of course I am a Christian, I was born in America." It is said that at one time, that America was a Christian Nation, that the Founding Fathers gave their lives to establish - 'One Nation under GOD'. Today, many people debate the reality of that statement. There are millions of true believers in America today, but it is a small percentage of the entire population of more than 300 million people. Compared to most other Nation's in the world, the United States still ranks very high overall in the number of true professing believers. Many people who call themselves believers go to Church throughout the week, and yet make very little attempt to live in an outward manner that would identify them as believers of JESUS CHRIST. I once worked for a gentleman who hired me because of my Christian testimony, he happened to be a recognized Leader of his Church and an established Business Owner as well. One day he approached me upset because during a lunch hour I was sharing the gospel with a coupe of his employees. He called me into his office and said; "The Church is for the Church and Business is for Business. I keep my Business out of my Church, and my Church out of my Business." "Don't talk to my employees about the LORD ever again!" After a couple talks with him on this subject, I resigned my position as his Company's CEO. A true believer can't keep their mouth shut about the LORD at appropriate times. If you doubt that statement, read the Book of Acts in the New Testament. Under the very real threat of death as a punishment, those who believed in JESUS could not be forced to keep their mouth shut! The same profession (under the threat of punishment and death) of the gospel of JESUS CHRIST continues to this very day. Many believers around the world are being persecuted, even put to death because they just won't keep their mouth shut. On page 2 we will ask an important question about believer's -
