REASONS FOR STUDYING THE HOLY BIBLE
When a Follower of JESUS reads the Holy Bible they will receive spiritual blessings as well as instruction.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
"All Scripture is GOD-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so
that the man of GOD may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

It is my personal custom to usually pray a prayer like Psalms 119:18 before reading GOD'S Word.

"Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in YOUR law."

Many people who are not born-again Believers in JESUS study the Bible for such reasons as scientific, historical or for literary purposes. No matter how noble their purpose, it is impossible for them to properly interrupt the Bible. It is the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD who lives within all those who believe in JESUS, that interprets the Word of GOD correctly. That is the only means the Bible can be properly understood. Here are some examples of the Believer receiving the HOLY SPIRIT:
John 14:15-27
"If you love ME, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the FATHER, and HE will give you another Counselor
to be with you forever— the SPIRIT of truth. The world cannot accept HIM, because it neither sees HIM or knows HIM. But you know HIM, for HE lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; "I
will come to you. Before long, the world will not see ME anymore, but you will see ME. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in MY FATHER, and you are in ME, and I am in you. Whoever has MY
Commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves ME, he who loves ME will be loved by MY FATHER, and I too will love him and show MYSELF to him." "All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor,
the HOLY SPIRIT, whom the FATHER will send in MY Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; MY peace I give
you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

""And with that HE breathed on them and said, "Receive the HOLY SPIRIT."

Any time someone without the HOLY SPIRIT, and that means everyone who is not born again, publishes their private interpretations of any Scripture or section of Scripture, you automatically know that they are incorrect. By the way, it is important for you to know the background of any individual who offers personal interpretation of the Holy Bible. Do not believe the man who differs in any way from the gospel of CHRIST.
There is only one gospel of CHRIST -

Corinthians 15:1-4
CHRIST
died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
That HE
was buried,
that HE was raised on
the third day according to the Scriptures.
"By
this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.
Otherwise,
you have believed in vain." (vs 2)

Anyone who offers any other gospel other than the gospel of CHRIST is evil and is a GOD hater. The future of all such people is eternal condemnation!
The gospel of CHRIST has absolutely zero wiggle room for differing opinions -
Galatians 1:6-9
"I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the One who called you by the grace of CHRIST and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are
throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of CHRIST. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!"
