Welcome to this Article on the topic of every 2 1/2 minutes. The purpose of this Article is to discuss the tragic fact that women around the world are sexually assaulted through acts of incest or rape at the rate of every 2 1/2 minutes. Such hideous crimes by sexual perverts are targeted against women which include girls and women of all ages. Some victims are so young when first attacked that the normal mind cannot conceive of such perversion. The attacker can be nearly anyone, including - fathers, brothers, uncles, care givers, cousins or neighbor just to mention a few. There exists absolutely no exact profile in regard to who might be the next victim. It is impossible for a young girl to be sexually attractive to a normal male. If a man finds a young girl to have a sexual appeal, the sickness is in him, not the girl. Speaking directly to all women around the world who have viciously attacked sexually, your tormented emotions, and questions as to; 'Why me?" are far too difficult for you to answer on your own. Actually, you may never know all the answers you would want to have in life. A fact that is critical to come to terms with is - what happened to you was not your fault in any way! You had nothing to do with your attackers reasons for choosing to harm you. Nobody can know what it was like for you to experience such tragedy. In my personal opinion, nobody can help you regain your life other than the LORD JESUS CHRIST. I have spent a great deal of time counseling women who had been sexually abused as a young girl and yet in their forties, fifties or sixties they still have days of torment. For these women, only a daily relationship with the LORD brought them the long lasting freedom they searched for all their life. If you have been sexually abused at any time in your life, it is up to you to immediately seek the help you need. You may choose to turn to Professional counseling with a Pastor or Biblical Counselor, or a secular Professional. Either way, today is the day to begin reaching out for help. It is likely that you have spent your life living in shame and guilt even though you did nothing wrong. You may think that keeping what happened to you a secret, and never thinking about it will somehow help you. Nothing could be further from the truth! The way to be free, to live without torment over what you experienced, will only come to you with the help of others. The decision to reach out for help today may be to you far too personal and embarrassing to discuss with others, but doing so is your only real way to freedom. In my experience, I have known women who have found freedom, were set free to live productive lives, raise a family and escape the damage caused by having been sexually attacked. It is important for you to know that there is hope for you and truth that will set you free if you want freedom more than anything else.
