LORD,
Restore To Me
The 'JOY'
Of
YOUR Salvation! "Restore
to me the 'JOY' of YOUR
salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me."
Psalms
51:12 Today,
being Monday, the first busy day of your week, we pray that you get your
'JOY' ON and praise the LORD
with us, the whole week long! David
prayed for the LORD to restore to him the 'JOY'
of HIS salvation. Knowing that he had violated
man and GOD, David still knew that the LORD
would not turn HIS back on a repentant sinner. Because
of his sins, David had lost the 'JOY' that goes along
with having an abiding relationship with the LORD.
He longed to once again experience that place of 'JOY'
and fellowship with GOD.
Sin is serious
business! GOD does not ignore the sins of HIS
children! In fact, sin is so
damning that only the sacrifice of GOD THE
SON, could completely take away the sins of the world. John
3:16 Having been forgiven, you would think that man would no longer sin or
even want to. In truth, I sin, you sin, we all sin much too often.
A daily
relationship with JESUS is not on a 1-2-3
Your Out Of Here' Heaven System. David had committed a series of horrific
sins which included - (1) - lust, (2) - adultery, (3) - murder. There you have it,
a perfect example of the 1-2-3 Your Out Of Here' Heaven System
that many people believe in. On
the 1-2-3 Your Out Of Here' Heaven System David would
had removed any possibility from a relationship with GOD
and Eternal 'JOY' with HIM forever.
David did not fool himself, he knew how unforgivable his sins should
be, and yet, he prayed with hope for restoration and the gift of a willing
sprit to sustain him once again.
How about you? Are you feeling lost in the
same 1-2-3 Your Out Of Here' Heaven System? Have you
misplaced the 'JOY' of HIS
salvation through your sinful behavior? Do you feel it's too late for you, that you
have committed one sin too many, too often? Not true! The LORD
hears the prayers of the repentant and restores the 'JOY'
of HIS salvation and grants a willing spirit to
sustain the soul that turns back to HIM.
