the main purpose of this Article is to speak directly to the fact that GOD
has chosen 'some' to be set apart from the so-called common believer. This calling does not require legalistic
practices to please the LORD, just the opposite!
GOD is searching for the heart that will submit to HIS
good will to live a life of spiritual passion. I was raised in a church that taught
(for example) if
you were bowling with your friends at that moment the LORD
returned, you would not be permitted to go to heaven. I think the Pastor's favorite cliché'
was; "You snooze, you loose." This was a very
bad case of legalism that totally conflicts with GOD'S
Word. As
we discussed on page one, it's not the job or ministry of the extremely passionate
Christian to go around condemning
other Christians who happen to live a casual, socially accepted lifestyle.
The HOLY SPIRIT is the teacher of all believer's and HE
does not need your help to point out another's faults. By
the way, having been called to live a life of passion and
beyond for GOD, don't be surprised when
Pastors, your closest friends or family members counsel you to slow down, take it easy and
relax more. Expect it! You may hear things like; "Take it easy, why in a few years you won't
even recall these strong emotions and will be just like the rest of us." Don't
buy into that scenario for a minute, GOD'S calling
does not change just because other people may not be comfortable with what HE
is doing in your life. The
