Romans 8:28

(28)  And we know that in all things GOD works for the good of those who love HIM, who have been called according to HIS purpose.

GOD works for the good of those who love HIM - 

Far too often Followers in JESUS live as though they are powerless against the things in life that work against them.  Instead of taking a stand against evil, sickness, depression, doubt or fear, they turn and run from the attack, often accusing GOD of being mean or unloving toward them.

If you are going to live a focused life, with your (spiritual) eyes wide open, recognizing what is really going on around you, then you need to know and believe the Scriptures.  Head knowledge and experience are from different worlds just like Text Book Study and field work.

There is always a reason for what happens to us, or the ones we love even though we may not understand or explain what it happens to be - 

This verse is quoted everywhere you go in every conceivable context you can imagine.  Please read it again and pay close attention to that fact that it is a promise from GOD o-n-l-y for those (Believers in JESUS) who love HIM, and have been called according to HIS purpose.  This promise is not for sinners.  

When something horrible is or has happened to you, remember GOD'S Word.  Trust in the fact that the LORD will not lie to you.  Count on HIS superior wisdom and knowledge in cooperation with HIS incredible love for you and act accordingly.
