TEACHING SERIES

The authority of the Scriptures is without legitimate question.  Scripture itself proclaims it's unique, indisputable authority:  "GOD-breathed" (from the very lungs of GOD HIMSELF).

 

2 Timothy 3:16


All Scripture is GOD-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,



GOD'S Word comes with strong purpose - 



a.    Useful for teaching.

b.    Useful for rebuking.

c.    Useful for correcting.

d.    Useful for training in righteousness.

 

Deuteronomy 32:2


Let MY teaching fall like rain and MY Words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

 


GOD has specific plans for HIS Word to impact the lives of HIS people -

 

a.    Fall like rain.

b.    Descend like dew.

c.    Fall like showers on new grass.

d.    Fall like abundant rain on tender plants.

 

 

Matthew 4:23


JESUS went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.



JESUS proved the power of teaching GOD'S Word - 

 

a.    Preached the good news of the kingdom.

b.    Healed every disease.

c.    Healed every sickness.

d.    Blessed A-L-L the people.

 

 

John 14:23


JESUS replied, "If anyone loves ME, he will obey MY teaching.  MY FATHER will love him, and WE will come to him and make OUR home with him.



JESUS said HIS teaching will bring many blessings - 

 

 

a.    Love JESUS. obey HIS teaching.

b.    The FATHER will love you.

c.    Both JESUS and the FATHER will come to you.

d.    Both JESUS and the FATHER will make their home in with you.

 

Acts 5:42


Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they (disciples) never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that JESUS is the CHRIST.

 


It is the duty of all Followers of JESUS to proclaim the good news that JESUS is the CHRIST.

 

 

a.    The disciples preached day after day.

b.    The disciples preached in the Church.

c.    The disciples preached from house to house.

d.    The disciples never stopped proclaiming the good news that JESUS is the CHRIST.

 

1 Timothy 5:17


The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.

 

 


JESUS' teaching includes a heavenly structure to HIS Church that includes - 

 

 

a.    The elders have been established by the Head of the Church (JESUS).

b.    The elders direct the affairs of the Church well.

c.    The elders are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 

 

 

Many people teach their views or those of someone else's writings.  While some teaching are acceptable as:  Interesting . . Historical . . Fictional, etc., only GOD'S Word, the Holy Bible's teaching are perfect, contain absolutely no flaws of any kind, and by following them, they lead you to the person of JESUS CHRIST.

The person who believes in JESUS, believes in HIS teachings, and HIS teachings direct you to believe in JESUS HIMSELF, and not only is JESUS the SAVIOUR of the world, but HE is the personal SAVIOR to all who believe in HIM.

Romans 10:13    "Everyone who calls upon the LORD will be saved."

JESUS taught; "Everyone has the right to choose."
